What Music Now?

I'm starting a new section in the sidebar, called What Music Now? which is pretty self-explanatory. If you have any suggestions let me know, and I may include one or two. But for now, this is what's spinning at home and in the car:

  • Niko - "Life on Earth" (GrandCentral Records)
  • Kate Rogers - "Seconds" (GrandCentral Records)
  • New Order - "Waiting for the Sirens' Call" (WB)

Respect!

I could not make it since I was working donkey hours to try and get a proposal out. However, Inshallah, in the future if and when they are around again.

My take on their new CD - a bit of a let down, however Krafty ROCKS! I still rate - Regret as my fav. song. It happened at a unique time in my life. It was a defining moment as I sought an identity and when it was offered, I grabbed it. This song in many ways reflected my move into a new city (Wash DC. from NYC) and the initial settling down and making new friends phase I endured.

Maybe I've forgotten the name and the address
Of everyone I've ever known
It's nothing I regret
Save it for another day
It's the school exam and the kids have run away

I would like a place I could call my own
Have a conversation on the telephone
Wake up every day that would be a start
I would not complain of my wounded heart

I was upset you see
Almost all the time
You used to be a stranger
Now you are mine
